Store And Recall Viewport Views
The video should give you an impression what it does.
I made this addon, which basically saves your current viewport location, rotation and distance and even the mode (Orthographic or not). It doesn't stop there, but it also remembers which objects or collections, where hidden or disabled or made non selectable in the viewport or Excluded from Viewlayer. I didn't touch the Disable in Render, as I think this could lead to confusion. Free addon no need to have any bad feelings, just enter a 0 as a fair price and enjoy. As I made this for myself mainly but I think this might be interesting for others as well.
There might be some bugs, I have not yet stumbled upon. Use at your own risk! Or on a new copy of your project. I only tried in Blender 3.6 and 4.2 so far.
I tried to make an update button but failed, but maybe someone with more knowledge is able to build upon this.
I will try to add an update current view button on my own, but it proves more difficult than expected and I may never get it done correctly. (And if you add new Objects after you created a view you might wanna add how their visibility should be too without deleting and recreating the view.)
I used partially ChatGPT to get collections recursively searched and Hidden in Viewport and Collections Excluded from View Layer. The rest was done with Serpens for Blender.
Maybe someone with more knowledge can build upon this and make it better.
1.5.0 Initial release (1.0.0 Was only the viewport views without visibilities, but I never shared it)
